Description:
The Department of Economics and Business Administration at Hillsdale College invites applications for a full-time, two year visiting position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall semester 2009. This position might convert to tenure track, subject to performance and availability of funding. Evidence of a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship is a must.
Teaching responsibilities will include intermediate macroeconomics, undergraduate international trade, macroeconomic and microeconomic principles. Teaching interests in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
- econometrics,
- health care economics,
- labor economics,
- international finance, or
- monetary theory.
Candidates with expertise in other areas are welcome to apply. Candidates must have a PhD in economics, or expect to have completed their degree by September 2009. The teaching load is 3/3, with an average class size of 25 students.
