The Center for Education Reform, a leading national education reform group is looking for a digital media coordinator with experience in web development, content management and updates, social media, and SEO strategies. The digital media coordinator will manage the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of web properties and social media tools. Responsibilities include updating site features and functionality, content maintenance and updates, monitor and report on monthly metrics, grow presence on social media sites, identify and implement innovative SEO strategies and recommend new innovative ways to increase organization’s web presence. The exceptional candidate will have an understanding of education reform and policy to ensure content and mission consistency across all of CER’s e-properties. The digital media coordinator will report directly to the director of communications.

 

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience and an undergraduate degree. Having technical skills and an understanding of national education reform initiatives is essential. Skills desired include knowledge of and experience with html, email marketing suites, and using content management systems and web development tools, such as WordPress, Expression Engine, and Acrobat. Excellent writing and editing skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects, and strong interpersonal skills are desired.
