SFL President Alexander McCobin

If you’re in the DC area, check out this event on Tuesday, December 4 at the Microsoft Innovation and Policy Center downtown. Students For Liberty co-founder and President Alexander McCobin will be joining representatives from the Young Democrats of America and the College Republicans to discuss the beliefs and opinions of today’s youth, how they are reflected at the polls, and the implications for the future. Don’t miss this opportunity for free lunch and lively discussion!

The discussion:

In 2008, young people came out to vote for Barack Obama in record numbers. In 2012, young people still favored Obama to his Republican opponent, but the margin was closer and enthusiasm was diminished. What do the results of the 2012 youth vote say about the beliefs and opinions of today’s youth, and what implications does this hold for the future? Join representatives from Students For Liberty, the Young Democrats, and the College Republicans who will provide commentary on and discuss the results from this  November’s election in terms of who and what young people supported, and what that means for the politics moving forward.

The panelists:
  • Alexander McCobin (Students For Liberty)
  • Richard Fowler (Young Democrats of America)
  • Alex Schriver (College Republicans)
  • Emily Ekins (Reason Foundation, Moderator)

Lunch will be provided prior to the panel discussion.
