Please join the Mercatus Center for Regulation University’s 2013
series. Hester Peirce, J.D., senior scholar the Mercatus Center, will discuss skills and
tools essential to conducting regulatory oversight. Several key debates this year will
focus on the economic impact of federal regulations. The Mercatus Center at George
Mason University is pleased to offer Regulation University, a series of educational
programs designed for congressional staff to provide the skills and information essential
to regulatory oversight and to understand the legal and institutional framework that
produces and supports federal regulation. Building from Regulatory Oversight Essentials,
Part I, this program will review skills and tools relevant to congressional staff tasked
with: identifying and monitoring the efforts of those with a stake in a regulation in
development by a federal agency and engaging in the debate for or against a change in
federal regulation. To learn more and register, please visit
