ACADEMY OVERVIEW

SC_LA_FB_avatarThe inaugural Carolina Summer Academy allows motivated young professionals and scholars to gain an invaluable theoretical grounding in philosophy, economics, politics, law, culture, and religion, while also refining useful leadership skills in practical workshops and simulations. The Academy will take place at Palmetto Bluff resort in Bluffton, SC. After a competitive application process, selected participants are hosted free of charge for five days and four nights as they engage in vigorous intellectual exchange with award-winning scholars and speakers from around the world and from right here in the Carolinas. In particular, we will focus on thinking deeply about and strengthening the twin pillars of the American experiment in self-government: liberty and virtue. Cultural activities will also feature the history, art, music, and literature of the Carolinas!
