You’ve read the books. You’ve heard the lectures. You’ve taken the classes. You’ve written the papers—sometimes even on time. But in the classical tradition, the content of one’s knowledge isn’t education enough- you must also master the art of rhetoric. This summer at the McConnell Center in Louisville, Kentucky, ISI will be taking conservatism to a new intellectual level. ISI student leaders will engage in an intensive week of philosophical debate based on traditional debating societies, such as the Oxford Union, Cambridge Union Society, and the American Whig–Cliosophic Society, to name a few.

All on-site expenses will be paid, and a small stipend will be available to defray travel costs.

The deadline for priority consideration of applications is February 18, 2013. The final application deadline is April 1, 2013. Please submit a résumé and a one-page cover letter explaining who your favorite political thinker is.
