Examples of specialized societies might include such groups as:

• The Society for Ethics which promotes philosophical research in ethics.
• The Social Philosophy and Policy Center, which supports research at the intersection of public policy, ethics, political philosophy, and social philosophy.
• The Hegel Society of America promotes "the study of the philosophy of Hegel and Hegelianism, its place within the history of thought, and its relation to social, political, and cultural movements since his time."
