Below are just a few websites, geared specifically towards journalists,  that will put an incredible amount of information at your fingertips.

  • MEGASOURCES - Dean Tudor, Emeritus Professor at the Ryerson University School of Journalism, in Toronto, Canada, has put together links to search engines, gateways, experts, indexes, and more. A free copy of his book "Finding Sources" is also available.
  • Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), Inc. assists investigative journalists with a helpful website that lists resources. IRE offers conferences and workshops that help train journalists to be more effective sleuths.
  • TVSpy offers journalists a directory of experts and sources in a variety of fields.
  • The Missouri School of Journalism Library has an impressive collection of 50,000 books, 200 periodicals, 47 daily domestic and 32 international newspapers.
  • Every reference book, calculator converter, and style guides is available on the web through the Univ. of Iowa Journalism Resource page.
