Phillips Foundation

The Phillips Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1990 to advance constitutional principles, a democratic society and a vibrant free enterprise system.  

Journalism Fellowships 

Since 1994, The Phillips Foundation has operated an annual fellowship program for young working journalists. Winners receive support for a one-year project that focusses on themes "supportive of American culture and a free society."

In addition, the Foundation awards separate fellowships in the following topic areas:

  • The Environmental Fellowship for a writing project on the environment from a free market perspective.
  • The Gilder Lehrman Fellowship for a writing project focusing on American history and the principles of the American founding.
  • The Law Enforcement Fellowship for a writing project focusing on some aspect of law enforcement in the United States.

Ronald Reagan College Leaders Program (formally Future Leaders Program)

The Ronald Reagan College Leaders Program features renewable scholarships to college undergraduates who demonstrate leadership on behalf of the cause of freedom, American values and constitutional principles. Students who are sophomores or juniors studying any discipline in an accredited university are eligible.
