Columbia and Oxford University graduate Richard Epstein earned his LL.B from Yale Law School in 1968. Soon after Richard became a Fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. The University of Southern California and the University of Chicago are also among Richard’s faculty credits. At the University of Chicago he received several honors including Parker Hall Professor and Distinguished Service Professor. Between 1981 and 1991 Richard also served as editor of the Journal of Law and Economics. Currently Richard is James Parker Hall Distinguished Service Professor at The University of Chicago’s Law School, and last year served as Interim Dean of the Law School. He has published extensively in many legal areas, with books on subjects from health care, discrimination laws, eminent domain, common law and tort law. He has also written on economic, historical and philosophical issues.
