Henry Hazlitt, responsible for bringing Freidrich Hayek and Ludwig Von Mises’ works to the attention of Americans, has been credited with also with bringing liberty in general to the masses.  It is estimated that Hazlitt wrote 10,000 pieces, including columns, editorials and articles during his lifetime, most for notable publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, in addition to his series of books and novels.  Some say his most enduring work is Economics in One Lesson, one of the most popular economics books today, where he taught millions of Americans the benefits of a free market.  One of the most important public intellectual figures in the Austrian economic tradition, Hazlitt altered forever the way America views the economy.
